sounds like most of the birds are south of I-90 in SD. it will be interesting to see where they end up with the temps reaching into the 50's and a south wind today. ready to give out plenty of dirt naps!

Just got back from the Spring Goose Shoot.

We hunted for 5 days between Willow Lake and Britton, SD. Our group had 10 guys. We managed to get 70 birds over the decoys and 23 jumping.

It was the longest "hunting day" I have ever had. We would leave the hotel at 5:30 am and return around 9:30 pm.

Good times!

it was a tough year because little to no sheet water, but always better than work!

Those white bastards/sky carp are getting close to my range. Reports of million plus birds in MO, with this warm weather they should be pushing up to NE and IA very soon.

birds are pushing into northern sd and will be in southern nd very soon. a lot of reports are saying the birds are spread out because of all the sheet water. i prefer they are spread out, smaller flocks = more willing to decoy = more dirt naps given out. getting excited to get out soon and scratch that itch.
